NC IAF is composed of independent, locally controlled organizations that have a combined 25 year track record of organizing for social justice and creating systemic change on issues within five NC counties (Mecklenburg, Forsyth, Orange, Durham, Wake).

The current combined membership of all NC IAF organizations is 179 civil sector institutions (churches, synagogues, mosques, neighborhood/sports associations, parent teacher organizations) representing over 100,000 North Carolinians. Our organizations bring together many different institutions and their leaders in a broad base that reflects the full diversity of their county.
